"It's great to see everything falling into place," Jane said.
"We will be setting up the pop-up van on-site in the short term with volunteers on hand to give information to our visitors.
"The shire is at full-capacity this weekend and all accommodation houses have their COVID plans in place. Everyone has been checked to make sure its super safe."
She said the NVTA was working towards a December opening of the information centre.
"We need to get our systems set up and our volunteers trained - we want to take our time and get it right. An ad has been placed for a manager.
"At the AGM a couple of weeks ago we set up two 'action force' groups - one will focus on the VIC and the other on marketing and our digital profile. There is a broad mix of talent, which means we can cover traditional media bases as well as the digital platforms."
Helena Smith (Jabiru Motel) is on the social media committee and said things were "buzzing along beautifully".
"We have new people, new skills and fresh energy - the signs are very good for us to make a good recovery," Helena said.
With regard to the Federal Government's latest grant program to inject funds into regional tourism, Jane said the NVTA would definitely be looking at the criteria: "One hundred per cent we'll be checking that out."
