A total of $54,185 was given to four organisations as part of the ClubGRANT scheme.
Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey attended the presentation night, along with representatives from the recipient organisations and community groups including Mayor Rhonda Hoban.
The most generous of these grants was $25,000 presented to the Lions Club of Nambucca Heads which will go a long way to building a whale viewing platform, concrete pathways and other improvement works at their Lions Park above Main Beach.
Some of those funds will also be used to install Christmas decorations along Bowra St this year.
The Nambucca Valley Council gratefully received $15,000 which is earmarked for the installation of new shelter sheds and seating at the brand new playground in Gordon Park.
The Northern NSW Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service was awarded $11,000 which will help to purchase 16 mobile terminals to help with future fundraising activities.
And a further $3,185 went to Little Wings which will assist in flying children from the mid North Coast to Sydney's Children's Hospital for specialist medical treatment.
This financial year, Nambucca RSL has given back a total of $59 000 in donations to worthwhile local causes.
