Nambucca Valley Council's Manager Infrastructure Services, Matt Leibrandt, advises that work is expected to continue for two weeks, weather permitting.
Mr Leibrandt said that while the project presented a number of positive opportunities for the town, some temporary short term impacts to traffic was expected.
Work on the bridge will occur between 9.30am and 3pm, Monday to Friday. Traffic control will be in place with vehicles leaving the CBD most significantly impacted, especially as there will be 'no left turn' for traffic exiting Wallace and River streets.
There will be minimal impact on traffic entering the CBD.
