President of the Nambucca Valley Tourism Association, Jane Smith, said the mood at Monday night's meeting was definitely more buoyant.
"Accommodation houses have been at full capacity over the holidays, which was a much appreciated boost after the losses over March and April," Jane said.
"We've all been really busy - just the way we like it!"
In other tourism news, Jane said the organisation was still in discussions with the council about the future of the Nambucca Heads Visitor Information Centre.
The centre is now vacant and up for lease with the departure in June of previous tenants Lifetime Connect.
Council has approached the NVTA and offered them the premises for use as a full-time information centre, once again.
"We have been working closely with the council to find an arrangement that is mutually beneficial for everyone."
She said she expects a decision in the coming weeks.
At the same time the group is freshening its public face with plans to redo the visitor guide, the shire map and a number of the brochures.
To this end, members are keen to welcome new faces to their executive group, especially those with skills or expertise in the areas of compliance, accounting support and media skills.
Some recent new members have already brought social media and video skills into the mix.
"We're growing and we want some new talent!"
Jane is one of those new faces, having arrived in the valley to manage the Cubana Resort in Nambucca Heads (previously the Destiny Motor Inn).
Her CV includes five years as the operations and logistics manager on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.
"It was absolutely the best work place ... we did some really major events there including Ninja Warrior, the Biennale and 'Diner en blanc'," Jane said.
