An initiative of Byron Writers' Festival and Create NSW, Writers on the Road is a travelling literary festival that brings readers and storytellers together to celebrate storytelling in a series of free events in regional towns, as well as visiting local schools.
For the first time the tour will include an Australian Slam Poetry Championship Regional Final hosted by Australian Slam Finalist, Anna Stewart - it will be at the Crown Hotel Grafton, 7pm on Monday, April 8.
The winner will go in to the Australian Finals at the Sydney Opera House.
Power, passion and performance will be writ large this year as the writers tell their tales live on stage.
All events are free and all are welcome - come share a story of your own.
