Hundreds of locals and visitors from all over descended on Gordon Park for the annual Australia Day family fun day.
The event saw the Giinagay Walk in the morning, a raft race and a crab race where a speedy young crab took the win in a blink and you'll miss it moment.
The defeated crabs, presumably angered by their loss, then attempted a daring escape into the crowd forcing spectators to take a step back as the crafty crustaceans attempted a breakout.

The afternoon finished with the children's events and the big raffle draw.
There were food stalls on hand selling every food you can think off, from good old Aussie snags to Nachos and German Kranskys.
It was warm throughout most of the day, but there was thankfully a light breeze which brought at least a little relief from the heat.
With the festivities at Gordon Park now over for another year, it’s time to kick back and enjoy the evening with a few cold ones and some good old Aussie cooking.
