Among the hundreds of keen holidaymakers were local Malcolm ‘Melon Man’ Ryan selling his watermelons for all to enjoy. Not to be outdone, Hak Bun and Michaela Bush set up a Detour Espresso Bar and were selling their wares.
Over on the V-Wall were more than a few keen fishermen looking to catch something for dinner. Visitor Peter Chapman was planning to test nearly a hundred new lures in the hopes of catching a feed.
Walking past and enjoying the sites were Melinda and Phil Treeby, visiting from Melbourne.
While in the park was Angela Raveane and Kieran Blair who were celebrating little Karsiah’s first birthday, one year after he just missed out on being the first new baby of the year.
At Bellwood, there was an interesting surprise, a couple who called themselves ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ – at least for a while – with their dog Hank.
There were people from all over, Tamworth, Melbourne, Sydney and even a few from overseas. Families and friends enjoyed picnics, barbecues and a few drinks.
Check out some of our pictures from around the V-Wall, Bellwood and the surrounding area in today’s gallery. Everyone have a safe and happy 2019.
