New tenants are moving into the once-vacant shop between the Plaza Laundry and Lifeline Shop.
Before the year is out, Valley residents will have a new-and-improved Service NSW centre (formerly motor registry office).
Service NSW is the government’s ‘one-stop-shop’ where you can apply for a licence, register vehicles, apply for a permit, register a birth, death or marriage, and pay most fines.
“Locals will soon have access to more than 1000 NSW Government transactions from around 40 agencies – all under the one roof,” a spokesperson for Service NSW said.
“The new Service Centre will...give residents and businesses access to the same range of services available at Coffs Harbour and Kempsey.”
Unfortunately the hype earlier this year about the centre being moved into the vacant MacDonalds building hasn’t played out.
Sadly, we won’t be getting a drive-through licence shop.
But one good thing to come from the move down to the Plaza is the increase in parking facilities.
So, as they say, watch this space.
