Sunday was a fun day as the club said ‘thank you’ to its sponsors and volunteers. Sixty-five players took to the course with another ambrose. Nine holes and no handicaps was the order of the day and winners came from a draw of the cards.
Victors turned out to be Glenys Thompson and Trevor Peck and the Bysouths, Mary and Graham. Second in the draw were the Streets, Linne and Joe, who partnered the Fullers, Linda and Warren. Plenty of balls went out in the rundown – all drawn out of the pack. Nearest the pins went to Trish Doherty, B Southan and Phil Mander. Longest drive at the second was taken out by Paul Martin.
After the game all enjoyed a great meal that Deidre Byrne was mostly responsible in creating with some help from the house committee. Thanks to all who helped in some small way.
School holidays are coming up and if you need to entertain the children, why not give footgolf a go – check with the pro shop as to time.
On Thursday the club will hold its Dolphin Day – open day rates for all – while on Saturday a stableford will be played.
