Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said the stimulus funding would enable work to improve access and upgrade maritime-related facilities.
"With boating activity is at an all-time high, this investment in maritime infrastructure and safety upgrades could not be better timed," Ms Pavey said.
"The breakwall at Nambucca is an important local tourism attraction with a practical purpose - making the river entrance safer and protecting the area near the headland.
"The Nambucca breakwall has over time lost a lot of the rock from which it is built. This upgrade will help future proof the wall, which also forms part of an important local walking promenade adjacent to a holiday park."
Ms Pavey said this upgrade will complement recent work by Nambucca Valley Council to update and improve the amenity of the local reserve and foreshore.
"Tenders will be sought for design and construction work once survey investigations and stakeholder engagement is carried out," Ms Pavey said.
A $205 million investment in maritime infrastructure and safety upgrade projects will create nearly 1300 jobs across the state, with local projects to be supported by local jobs wherever possible.
"The great thing about this stimulus package is it will not only improve infrastructure such as wharves, breakwall and amenities but it will also create jobs and assist the state's economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis."
