The funding is the result of a successful State Government Youth Opportunities grant application.
The grant will be used to reactivate the highly successful Youth Mobile Cafe aimed at helping local youth with practical "on the job" skills, by taking the cafe to local Nambucca Valley events and festivals.
The cafe-on-wheels has already made a splash at a number of local events, including the Bowraville Memorial Cup and the Nambucca Heads Christmas Street Party.
Through the initiative, young people will be provided with accredited training, transferable skills, and the mobile cafe will have an on-site youth worker, referral info and resources when out in the community.
The Youthie was one of 35 projects around NSW chosen to receive a piece of this pie.
"This initiative encourages community engagement and develops more opportunities for our youth," Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said.
"I want to congratulate Nambucca Valley Youth Services for developing such an innovative project that will improve the lives of young people in our community."
