Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said construction of the new modern campus is well underway and the significant investment in the site paints a bright future for the local community.
"I'm pleased to announce construction is progressing well on the digitally-enabled, next generation CLC in Nambucca Heads, which will revolutionise training in the region," Ms Pavey said.
"The external cladding is being installed, painting of the structural steel is underway, and the door and internal windows are being installed - which means studying at the multi-million-dollar CLC will soon become a reality for local students.
"As the first TAFE NSW campus in Nambucca Heads, this CLC will play a central role in educating our young people and supporting our community's growth."
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee said the new state-of-the-art facility will significantly expand education and training opportunities in the area.
"The fit-for-purpose facility will provide new opportunities for students to gain job-ready skills and help to deliver the pipeline of skilled workers the local economy needs," Mr Lee said.
"Students will have access to high-quality practical training TAFE NSW is known for, through the use of Mobile Training Units and the latest learning technologies including simulation and virtual reality experiences."
Construction of the TAFE NSW Nambucca Heads Connected Learning Centre is scheduled to be complete in late 2021. For more information, visit www.tafensw.edu.au/clc.
