Her exhibition, 'Capturing the Imagination', will open on Wednesday, February 3.
Lorraine is a well known local artist and is inspired by the coastal and interior landscapes of Australia and by our native flora and fauna.
She paints in a wide variety of styles from realism to abstract and prefers to work in acrylics for their vivid colours and fast drying characteristics.
Working in acrylics allows her to quickly complete a canvas almost without forethought, without anticipating the final result. This unrestrained freedom of expression is apparent in the spontaneity and wonderful freshness of her work.
There will be a COVID-safe morning tea to launch the exhibition from 10am onwards and all members of the public are invited.
There is no charge for this so why not come and enjoy a morning of art and friendship with us. The gallery is open from Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 3pm and on Saturday mornings from 9.30 until noon.
