Darren Pike and Makita sponsored a single Stableford event at Macksville on Saturday with a large field competing and a number of visitors taking part.

Heavy rain made the course very wet and long so it was great to see so many starters.

The water levels have risen and the colours have changed so many times in recent weeks after all the rain. Props to all the hard work of the green keeping team for keeping the course in one piece.

Matthew Ward carried on his great form from last week to again win the day with 40 points from Shane Langley who fired a great round of 39 points.

Nearest the pin shots on the 4/13th holes went to: (A Grade) Allan Clarke, (B Grade) Steve Hunt. No C Grader hit the target.

Other nearest the pin shots went to: (A Grade) Matt Ward, and (C Grade) Neil Cuneen.

Ball comp went back to Tim Zirkler winning the last ball.

This week's event is the annual Bernard Laverty Memorial three-man Ambrose event sponsored by David and Melissa Walker.
