STEVE Ash sponsored a stroke round for the monthly medal and spoon at the Macksville Golf Course on Saturday.

Heavy overnight rain and constant downpours through the day reduced the field to the brave and hearty or just plain mad.

Matt Ward who hits the ball so far he doesn't need any run took out both the medal and spoon with a fine 69 nett. Matt returned a par round over the back nine in a great display.

Grade winners were: A Grade Matt Ward, B Grade Darren Turner and Bob Lindsay took out the C Grade.

Nearest the pin shots on the 4th/13th went to: A Grade Michael Simpson, no B Grader hit the target and Noel Austin won the C Grade. Other nearest the pin shots went to: A Grade TJ Fortescue while no B or C Grader could find the green.

Great to see TJ home for a break and he had a brilliant two under par round.

This Saturday's event will be a single stableford sponsored by Darren Pike and Makita Powertools. This is always a great day with beaut prizes so contact the club on 6568-1400 to book a time.
