The talented youngster was a pillar of the incomparable North Coast Under 16s side - and a deserved winner of the Coaches' Award for this side.
The North Coast Under 16s went all-but in this disrupted season, bowing out in the finals. But their place in history was already assured after they won titles as they moved through the age groups - as 13s, 14s and 15s.
The incredible streak that saw North Coast trump the large Newcastle outfits and others finally came to an end this season - although they gave it a mighty go reaching for a fourpeat.
NCF held its NPL Awards Night on Tuesday, ending a longer than usual year for the girls and boys in navy and orange from the Coffs and Clarence.
On the night, players and families heard from coaches, players and NCF officials on the season that just was.
Attendees also farewelled the remarkable Under 16s team who made the semi-finals in 2020.
The NCF player of the year was Jacob Field from the Under 16s and the Goal Keeper of the year was Ashton Herbert from the Under 13s.
Special guest speaker was Scott Ryan from the A-League club, Western United FC. Scott started his playing career as a six-year-old with the Orara Valley Dingoes.
Scott addressed the players in a Q&A with NCF technical director, Jack Dover.
