Premier's Bushfire Emergency Citation Awards were presented by Jamie Laws, RFS District Officer, on behalf of the Premier. The citations were handed out to all those Talarm members who served during last season's horrific fires.
Jamie read a thank you message from the Premier, which also recognised the support provided to the volunteers from their families and other community members.
The Talarm Brigade has four new volunteer member (including me!) who have already begun their Induction and basic training.
Anyone considering becoming a volunteer is welcome to roll up to the brigade station (next to the Talarm Hall) on the second Sunday of the month at 9am or contact Murray Liddell on 0409 850-866 for further information.
