Great Southern Nights is a program initiated by the State Government to kickstart live music in NSW, and Macksville Ex-Services Club has been accepted into the program to present two shows during November.
This Friday (November 5) will see Port Macquarie's Blake O'Connor take the stage - the first time a big name will play the Ex-Servies since COVID hit.
Blake is a rising star in Country Music. After winning Starmaker last year, he's spent the better part of two years touring with the McClymonts.
Since then he has gone on to forge his own career in Country Music as an artist in his own right.
This year Blake took home the prestigious Best New Talent of The Year Golden Guitar at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
He has that invaluable commodity in a male artist, the quintessential square jawed good wholesome country boy look that endears him to legions of female fans.
Blake O'Connor will team up with Sinead Burgess (and supported by local boy Graham Howle) for an unforgettable night of music.
Sinead Burgess is a Nashville-based Australian singer-songwriter and is well-known to audiences as a guitar slingin', one-woman show stopper whose solo sets and bell bottoms nail a crowd with more intensity than most full bands.
She had toured with some of music's biggest acts (James Bay, The Script, Don McLean) and collaborated with high profile songwriters and producers around the world.
As they each share stories their songs resonate with a fresh approach in this intimate acoustic setting.
This will be a night to remember with a show that takes you on a journey through the eyes of two remarkable artists.
