The artist is Virginia Whitehead who has a distinctive style and imaginative expression. Virginia works in a variety of media including paint, fabric, beads and discarded jewellery.
In this collection of works Virginia has chosen to produce miniature pieces which are predominantly in gold or silver.
Virginia has been exhibiting in the Stringer Gallery for many years and is one of our most imaginative and well regarded artists.
There is always a depth of meaning to her works which challenges the viewer. She believes that everyone has a little piece of gold within themselves.
Virginia has a heart of gold herself and has given so much by way of commitment to community life in Nambucca Heads. We are delighted to promote her latest exhibition.
There will be an exhibition launch and morning tea on Wednesday October 7 from 10 o'clock onwards in the Stringer Gallery. All are welcome. There will be COVID-19 regulations in place to keep everyone safe.
The Stringer Gallery is next to the Post Office in Nambucca Heads and is open Wednesdays to Fridays from 10am to 3pm and on Saturday mornings until noon.
