Two boys injured in Macksville skate park confrontation

Two bashed in skate park melee

Macksville Police report that two youths, one aged 16 and the other 17 years, were injured in a confrontation between two groups at the Macksville skate park on September 4.

Sergeant Belinda Dalzell said that between 7.30 and 8pm eight to ten young people at the skate park were approached by another group of eight, aged between 12 and 17.

"In the confrontation that followed one 16-year-old was struck in the head with a clenched fist and fell to the ground and a 17-year-old was punched in the face and then tackled when he tried to get away," Sgt. Dalzell said.

She said investigations into the incident were ongoing and progressing.
