Lubasha gave a presentation to explain her background and what inspires her art work. She was born in The Urals in Russia and studied at the Ural State University.
Her Artist of the Month wall is a blaze of colour and vibrant energy. Lubasha particularly favours painting in oils as many of her works show.
The morning tea had a Russian flavour with many Russian delicacies such as pastries, pancakes and cookies - all cooked by Lubasha herself. For many of us it was our first taste of delicious home cooked Russian food.
Many from the local Russian community came to support the event.
Lubasha's art works can be seen in the Stringer Gallery from now until the end of the month.
The gallery is on Ridge Street next to the Post Office at Nambucca Heads and is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 3pm and on Saturday morning until noon.
Covid 19 regulations are in place to keep everyone safe.
There are also many works on display by our local artists.
