This match was set to be a physical and entertaining first vs second place game of footy.
It was Wingham that crossed the line early with some crafty ball work, but it didn't take long for Macksville powerhouse scorer O'shay Elmasari Tyerman to put Macksville's first points on the board and convert his own try.
Both teams had very fierce defence, but Macksville's was just too good, led by their leader, Dreamtime Dane Saunders.
Finn Stephens bossed his big, hard-hitting forwards around to set the pace for Logan Jones and Rhiley Maxwell to lead the backs over for a second try from a glorious ball by Logan Jones to Travis Downton through the hole.
Elmasari Tyerman slotted the conversion, leaving the score at 12-4.
Half time hit and Wingham came out firing and scored two quick tries, making it 12-14.
The Macksville 18s huddle together for the last 13 minutes with some serious on-field talking.
Dreamtime Dane came out guns blazing to score a marvellous individual try with Elmasari converting, the boys now leading 18-14.
Wingham made a line break with Malakhai Donovan and Logan Jones chasing. Logan pulled off a Gordon Tallis-like tackle to save Wingham from getting another try.
Finn Stephens (Cam Smith Jnr) linked up with a superstar Logan Jones chip and chase, tapped to Finn perfectly for him to run away with a try.
Elmasari Tyerman converted, taking the final score to 24-14 and shooting Macksville through to the top of the leaderboard.
