The persistent rains brought power lines down on a house at Deans Rd, Missabotti, at lunchtime yesterday.
Newee Creek RFS Brigade and Essential Energy worked to fix that problem.
Then at 9pm, Utungun And Warrell Creek RFS crews, alongside Bowraville Fire and Rescue attended a single vehicle crash on Taylors Arm Rd near Congarinni Rd North.
The car had left the road and collided with a boundary fence, before coming to rest in a ditch.
Police and ambulance both attended but noone is reported as needing hospitalisation.
Shortly after, at 11pm, two Macksville Fire and Rescue units, Bowraville Fire and Rescue, and North Macksville Rural Fire Brigade were called to a house fire on East St in Macksville.
The fire, which started near a fireplace, caused minor damage to a rear verandah. Fire and Rescue searched for hot spots using thermal imaging goggles but gave the all clear.
Local RFS crews were then called to an incident near Crescent Head, before yet another came in over the radio at 4am.
A ute had rolled onto its roof going southbound on the Pacific Highway near Browns Crossing.
The Stuarts Point, Yarrahapinni, and Eungai RFS, police and ambulance crews were called to attend.
Luckily, there were no reports of injuries.
One southbound lane of the highway was closed until 6.30am when the ute was salvaged.
After an unusually busy night for the RFS Control Centre, the on-duty commander is thankful the sun is shining again today and is looking forward to a bit of shut-eye.
