Minster for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul Toole, said bus routes 356, 358 and 360M will extend their services to the new hospital, located three kilometres north of town, from June 1.
"This is about providing bus connections for the community that allow them to access the new Macksville hospital with ease," Mr Toole said.
"We have made the decision to extend three routes, as well as amend existing routes, to improve service reliability and provide our community with plenty of opportunities to get to the hospital throughout the week."
Transport for NSW has worked with NSW Health and local operator Busways Pacific to alter the services and introduce public transport options to the new hospital site, which has relocated from Boundary St, Macksville, to Old Coast Rd.
Local MP Melinda Pavey said the NSW Government continued to invest in vital infrastructure projects in the region.
"As we have been reminded over the last few months, the role of health care in the community is absolutely crucial. We want to simplify the process of getting to the hospital as much as possible for our locals," Mrs Pavey said.
"The addition of new services and changes to trip times within current timetables will allow the community to reach the hospital during school weekdays, school holiday weekdays and Saturdays."
Contact-less payment is available on these services, and regional bus fares apply.
