Lifetime Connect Inc, with the support of the Macksville Ex-Services Club and Community Transport, will be driving the resumed service - and there will even be a new winter menu from Monday.
"This will be great news for our existing clients returning to regular delivery, with a wider choice of menu options. Community Transport and our dedicated staff will deliver meals on a weekday basis to your home," Lifetime Connect general manager Kathy Oliver said.
"With additional one-off emergency funding provided from the Australian Government for our Meals on Wheels service we are able to allocate more resources to cook and deliver meals.
"With the support of the club (Macksville Ex-Services), Community Transport and our food services team we are now able to have a very quick return to hot meals which has been incredible."
This week is National Volunteer Week and Lifetime Connect is keen to see its "wonderful volunteers again who usually make our deliveries however they have been restricted in their activity due to COVID-19", Kathy said.
"We would like to acknowledge the significant contribution of our amazing team of volunteers who usually assist with our Meals on Wheels service and thank all volunteers for everything they do for us in the community."
If you are part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Home Care Packages or have NDIS Plans you can access the meals service within these programs. The service can also cater for private clients.
