This includes the Thursday night raffles at the Nambucca RSL Club, Friday night raffles at the Sports and Leagues Club and the Saturday morning raffles at Nambucca Plaza.
The planned Lions Markets at Nambucca Plaza on Sunday April 12 has also been axed.
"The board found it a difficult decision to suspend fundraising activities but easy when we value each member of our Lions Club, their health and well-being," club president Grahame Beatton said.
The virus can spread from person to person by close contact with an infectious person (virus active for 24 hours prior to showing symptoms), coming into contact with a person's sneeze or cough, touching money, hard surfaces etc that have been infected and then touching your mouth or face.
Elderly people and people with compromised immune systems, and chronic medical conditions are at greatest risk.
"This decision is to protect the safety of the members and the public who support us. Our membership is elderly, and in some cases, they are very vulnerable to the coronavirus," Grahame said.
"We will continue to clean barbecues and consider requests after a risk assessment is done."
