As part of that she came to Nambucca Heads in February last year, prior to the March elections, to announce the Government's commitment to fund the town's own highway signs, similar to those already erected for neighbouring Macksville, as well as Holbrook and Berry.
The signs for those three towns were part of the 12-month pilot necessary to validate the funding decision ... and subsequently declared a success in the post-bypass world.
"Macksville has never been busier, it's like Urunga," Mrs Pavey said at the time.
In August last year the Guardian News reported that Kempsey and Urunga, plus other towns, had been prioritised based on previous commitments under the Location Marker program.
At the time Transport for NSW (TfNSW) said all imagery had been agreed upon with councils and photography was either under way or completed, as were geo-technical investigations.
The signs for Kempsey and Urunga have however still not appeared.
And as for Nambucca Heads ... last week a spokesperson for TfNSW could only say "the project was in progress" and there would "hopefully be an update prior to installation".
In response to the same questions Mrs Pavey's office said the project would be completed by the end of this financial year, ie: June 2020.
