On Sunday, February 23, Enid Gorely and Eddie Addison joined hands and declared their love for one another in front of a congregation of their family and friends at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Macksville.
There were intially fears it might flood - both the bride and groom have a history of attempting to tie the knot in the middle of a deluge.
But the heavens smiled on the beautiful couple and the rain held until well after the ceremony.
With her two daughters leading the way, Enid walked up the aisle, accompanied by her brother, Myron.
Eddie, flanked by his two sons, watched on adoringly, not quite able to believe his good fortune.
And there was not a dry eye in the house as Eddie struggled to hold back his emotions during his vows.
Mr and Mrs Addison have said there will be no honeymoon.
"But then, our whole life will be a honeymoon from now on," Eddie crooned.
