After reforming as an Auskick (Under 9s) four years ago the club has grown to the point where they are expecting to conduct an Auskick Centre this season, plus Under 11 and Under 13 mixed teams, an Under 15 boys team and a Youth (Under 17) girls team.
The club is keen to recruit players for Auskick plus all teams.
As this is the first year that the club has had an Under 15 team or a Girls' Youth team they are particularly keen to attract players for these age groups. Whilst they have experienced players already committed to these teams, they need more players to ensure they have sufficient numbers to field teams.
Players do not need to have played previously they just need to be willing to learn, play and enjoy sport.
Training for all Auskick and all teams is at Nambucca Heads High School Oval on Wednesdays at 4.30. All teams train for an hour.
Home games are played at E J Biffin Oval on Sundays. The season starts in April and concludes at the end of August.
Games for Auskick are against local teams from Bellingen to Woolgoolga. Usually there are two games: one for the youngest players without tackling, and another for the older (up to 9 years old) allowing tackling.
The Under 11 and 13 competitions are split into two conferences: Northern and Southern. Nambucca Valley is in the Northern Conference playing the same clubs as the Auskick players, plus Grafton. They play the teams from the Southern Conference in two crossover days when they play two games each day. These are played at the home of a club near the centre of the League.
As the Under 15s and the Youth Girls competitions are still expanding their draws depend on which teams enter this year.
Girls born before 2009 are invited to a "Come and Try" girls only event at E J Biffin on this Sunday. The session will be conducted by female coaches from the AFL. No experience is necessary and there is no commitment to continue with the game.
Those interested in playing are welcome at training at any time. Players can register by going to the website https://play.afl/ where the club's contact details can also be found.

CLUBS in the AFL North Coast community have received a financial boost ahead of the new season thanks to the Australian Football League's Community Relief Fund.
All AFL clubs in declared bushfire-affected postcodes, as identified by the ATO, have received initial funding from the fund.
Community Football Manager for the North Coast said the scope of the donations in the region is enormous.
"Every junior and senior North Coast club has been deemed to be indirectly impacted and will receive funding," Taylor said. "From Taree to Grafton, a total of 14 clubs have been granted funding from the Community Relief Fund."
Taylor added that the payment has no strings attached and can be used in any manner the clubs see fit.
"All of the clubs are able to identify their greatest need when it comes to how to spend the money. Suggestions include reducing or waiving registration fees for players that have been directly impacted by the fires or covering a sponsorship shortfall where a sponsor's business is fire impacted and can't continue its partnership with the club," he said.
All of the clubs receiving funds were involved themselves in a fundraising effort during last year's AFL North Coast finals series raising $1,500 for drought affected farmers in the state's North West.
