WHAT'S ON

Players of the Valley, reunite!

New decades offer a temporal trigger point to remember what was, often leading to exclamations of 'Has it really been that long?'.

And so it was with John Mills who recently got to wondering about how much time had passed since he and the other thespians from the now retired Valley Players had trod the boards together.

Not one to rest on his laurels, John set about organising a reunion of theatrical proportions, with the help of current theatre group Valley Performers.

In July audiences will be treated to a double billing: 'The Perils of Prudence Goodheart' - a classic melodrama, complete with Greek chorus, which follows the romantic vicissitudes suffered by our virtuous heroine at the hands of the villainous, and 'Things That Go Bump In The Night' - a radio play complete with live studio sound effects (and no lines to learn).

Former Players are invited to be part of the audience or hop on stage and participate in either or both of these performances.

The Gala Night is scheduled for Friday, July 17, with two further matinee performances on Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19.

A reunion dinner will also be hosted at 6.30pm at the Nambucca Heads RSL Club following the Saturday matinee performance.
