As right as rain after heavens open overnight

What was that beautiful music playing on our rooves last night? Did you do a little dance?

While we definitely need a lot more where that came from, parts of the Nambucca Valley received the biggest soaking they've had for a good year or so.

A flock of black cockatoos was captured circling Newee Creek before the heavens opened:

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Thumb Creek, Sugarloaf and South Arm have received over 50 ml of rain each in the past 24 hours.

Taylors Arm got 43 ml, and Girralong received 36 ml. Utungun received 20 ml, Upper Missabotti recorded 18ml, and Bowraville got 10ml.

The coastal areas all received a light drizzle - under 10ml for most.

And the Bureau is forecasting up to 25ml of rain to fall across our region again for today.

The light rain is expected to continue throughout the weekend until it starts to taper off again from Monday. The total forecast rain for the next three days in our region is expected to be up to 100ml.

There is also the chance of thunderstorms over the next three days.
