From the farm in Chinchilla to competing in rodeos across North America he has lived the cowboy lifestyle.
"I rode barebacks and bulls for many years and all this time the guitar was not too far away. I love singing rodeo-flavoured songs and telling the stories of the road. While I competed I picked up a degree in music, specifically Country, from Rogers University in Claremore, Oklahoma," he said.
In 2009 he released his first CD, Rodeo Road, which became a top 10 selling country album on the ARIA charts in its first week.
And his single 'Rodeo Rider', with Markus Meier, spent three weeks as number one on KIX Country radio.
He's also had other chart success in his diverse career, including four number ones and three top 10s on Numberonemusic.com.
To prove he's no one-trick pony, Larry has also had a commanding career on the radio, including 12 years as breakfast announcer/programmer/marketing manager with the Kix Hot Country Radio Network.
He reached the pinnacle of the country music radio industry in this role after being awarded the 2010 Country Music Association of America International Broadcaster of the Year award.
Larry has also won the 2010 People's Choice Award as favourite broadcaster at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
After leaving radio, Larry took up an opportunity in the rodeo industry, in announcing, marketing and broadcasting, which saw him join the team of broadcasters at the Royal Easter Show in 2018.
Larry took on the role as MC at the inaugural Macksville Music Muster, and he will command the stage again this year as MC and Main Stage artist.
He's also bringing something special to the table, courtesy of his rodeo connections. Larry has invested in some high-quality inflatables and will be running the hilarious Pony Hop event at this year's Muster.
We're now two months out from this year's Macksville Music Muster which will be held at the Macksville Showground from March 12-15, with gates opening from the 9th.
