A big crowd milled about the waterside Andersons Park at Valla Beach checking out the stalls selling everything from plants and clothes through to books, bee houses and fishing gear.
There was entertainment aplenty too - the limbo game for the youngsters attracting particular interest.
Valla Lions president Narelle Peters told the Guardian she was delighted with the turnout, especially as the Nambucca Valley once again woke to bushfire smoke.
Watch the kids doing the limbo:
"I was a little bit disappointed that we didn't have more stalls, but it's a great crowd all the same," Narelle said.
"This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we've been doing this for over 25 years now.
"We've got our new shed in operation which we got through a couple of grants and while we've had some teething problems it's worked out very well."
