The Nambucca Valley Tourism Association (NVTA) has acquired a Volkswagen Van that has been branded and is a welcome addition to the existing tourism trailer.
The van and trailer takes the message to the streets - highlighting pictures of the Valley and attracting attention wherever they go.
The big advantage of this vehicle is that NVTA volunteers can get around more easily without the use of a strong private vehicle with a tow bar.
The van's inaugural appearance and also the first promotion of the NVTA outside the Nambucca Valley took place at the Grafton Jacaranda Festival, where it was set up at the popular festival markets.
This was a great opportunity for the NVTA to promote the beautiful Valley to the thousands of overseas visitors attending the festival. The information provided from the van and the appearance of the van was well received by local, interstate and overseas visitors.
Late last year the van attended the Garden Gala at Macksville Showground, where it was positioned next to the Eungai Buffalo Farm Stand. Ian from the Buffalo farm was impressed with the kit and thought it would be a magnificent idea to have the van at his Buffalo Café when busloads of tourists are booked in.
The NVTA is now mulling attending the Macksville Gift, Tamworth Music Festival, Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival, Dorrigo Folk and Bluegrass festival, Coffs Harbour Oztag Championships, VW Spectacular, Hot Rods, Ford Falcon Meet and other events and festivals.
Many thanks to Gail Griffiths and her band of volunteers. Please note that the Tourism Association welcomes any new volunteers.
