In May it was the good news that the NSW Government had agreed to buy the Riverside Dr land where Aboriginal bones were found 18 months ago during building excavations.
The site had been bought by Terry Walker and Joanna Lockwood in July 2017 with a view to building their dream riverside home.
That dream stalled dramatically in October that year with the discovery of what have since been identified as the bones of a young man (14-16 years) dating back some 620- 750 years.
.... trying to resolve the situation has taken many months and involved the Aboriginal community, Nambucca Shire Council and the State Government.
