Principal Gillian Stuart says the money from the not-for-profit organisation will help ensure strong participation in the program by enabling every student taking part to wear a long-sleeved rash shirt.
"The whole school is very grateful to the Club for its commitment to surf safety," Gillian said.
"As a beachside school we have always had a strong emphasis on water safety, but it's great to have this extra support so we can be even more sure our students have the skills to enjoy the water while avoiding the risks."
The donation came about after the Newcastle club took over the annual running of the Scotts Head Paddle Games in June, with the committee promising any profit would go back into the Scotts Head community.
The club runs surf competitions and flat water paddle events around Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens.
Dyan Thais from the club said it was decided the money should be used where it would have the greatest impact.
"If all the children of Scotts Head can benefit from the Scotts Head Paddle Games, then it's well worth the investment of our time and effort and to ensure the games continue," Dyan said.
