Man charged after alleged hammer attack in Warrell Creek

A 63-year-old Warrell Creek man was taken to hospital after allegedly being attacked with a hammer around 10am last Wednesday.

He was treated for a 3cm cut to the back of his head at Macksville Hospital and received a couple of stitches. There were also other cuts to his head and minor injuries to his back.

Police said the incident was the result of a dispute between neighbours.

The man's 66-year-old neighbour was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will appear before the Macksville Local Court this Thursday, December 12.
