Across the Nambucca Valley, Lions Club members have hit the streets and shopping centres selling their much-loved Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings.

The cakes and puddings have a reputation for being of a high quality and are a perfect addition to your larder not only at Christmas but also during the year when friends or family drop in.

So, when out and about look for members of Lions International selling; cakes $13 (1kg), $17 (1.5kg) and Puddings $13, at your local shopping centres and petrol stations.

Through the purchase of a cake or pudding you can support this great organisation's projects across Australia. For information about where you can purchase a cake contact Lion Heather Battle of Macksville Lions on 04178 43527.

In addition to raising money through cake and pudding sales, this year the Macksville Lions will also be conducting a series of fundraising events to raise money for Blaze Aid.

The Blaze Aid Team commenced operations in the Valley on November 22 providing assistance to local land holders who have lost fencing during the recent bushfires.
