For Lexie it was her first time competing at the NSW PSSA titles which were held at Sydney Olympic Park.
While it was Lexie's debut at a State-level in athletics, she was a medallist at the NSW PSSA swimming championships earlier in the year.
Lexie had a huge program, competing in five Multi class events over two days of competition - shot put, discus, long jump, 100m and 200m.
It was on the track that Lexie shone, with wins in the junior girls 100m and 200m events.
It's been a stellar year for Lexie, who has made the trip to Sydney to compete at state carnivals three times times during 2019, having also competed at the NSW PSSA cross country championships in July.
For Daniel Williams it was his second time at the Olympic Park track for athletics after attending selection trials for the national athletics championships which were held in Darwin in September.
Competing in the 1500m and 800m events, Daniel missed selection for the NSW team after placing 4th in the 1500 with only the top three runners making the team.
Daniel was able to put this disappointment behind him and continue training with a goal of a podium finish at the state championships - which he achieved, claiming the bronze medal in the 1500m.
Daniel narrowly missed the podium in the 800m final, crossing the line in 4th place.
Lexie is continuing her athletics training as the Little Athletics season gets under way while a well earned rest is on the cards for Daniel as he contemplates high school and many new sports to dabble in next year.
2020 promises much for Lexie and Daniel as two dynamos on the rise.
