"MPC is 100 per cent owned by Australian macadamia farmers, so this donation is really a case of farmers helping other farmers who need a helping hand, it's the Australian way" said MPC General Manager Steven Lee.
BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation working with communities in rural Australia to assist their recovery after natural disasters, by helping to rebuild destroyed fencing and other structures in hard hit areas.
"We understand that farming can be difficult enough but when you combine years of drought followed by the devastation and destruction of the recent fires it really makes you want to help.
"The work that BlazeAid is doing is incredible and we're proud to support them helping struggling farmers get back on their feet."
MPC is the world's largest macadamia processor and operates two factories located at Lismore NSW and Bundaberg QLD. It is owned by 180 macadamia grower shareholders.
