A sum of $25 million has now been allocated by the State Government to help with bushfire clean-up costs across NSW.
Member for Oxley Melinda Pavey said with many fires now at the 'Advice' level, it's time for recovery measures.
"This particular funding will help pay for the clean-up of hazardous materials - including the removal of asbestos-contaminated material released as a result of the bushfires, concrete slabs, and all dangerous debris and trees. The funding is for those who were insured and uninsured."
Those wishing to make an application under the program are encouraged to contact the Disaster Welfare Assistance Line on 1800 018 444 for more information.
Mrs Pavey said the waste levy fees will be waived for residents disposing of bushfire-generated waste.
"Building materials, garniture and any other bushfire generated waste is included; the waiver will apply at nominated facilities and will save significant sums of money for households."
The Deputy Premier and Leader of the NSW Nationals, John Barilaro, said the funding will help the recovery effort.
"This funding is an important step towards helping communities get back on their feet," Mr Barilaro said.
"Homes and lives have been destroyed and this Government will do everything we can to help regional families rebuild and recover. "More support to be made available as the extent of the damage becomes clear."
The exemption of waste levy fees applies until 29 February 2020 on debris and waste created by these bushfires.
