At almost 27,000 hectares in size with a perimeter of 321kms, the fire remains active but it is within identified containment lines as well as burning internally.
Firefighters from a number of NSW and interstate agencies, supported by heavy machinery, areprotecting property and consolidating containment options to control the fire. Crews are monitoring the fire and undertaking tactical backburns as it approaches containment lines.
At Upper Buckrabendinni, the fire's northern front, it is being contained to the south of Mackays Road.
At Thumb Creek and Burrapine, the western front, the fire is being contained to the east of Taylors Arm Road.
At Millbank and Bakers Creek, the south side, the fire is being contained to the south of Sundowner and Greenhills roads.
And finally, on its eastern front, crews are patrolling the containment lines west of Warrell Creek, Allgomera and Collombatti.
