The Nambucca Shire Council has confirmed that two of its timber bridges were destroyed by the November 8 fires.

Assistant General Manger Paul Gallagher said Murrays Bridge at South Arm and McDonalds Bridge on McHughs Creek Rd now had side tracks in place to maintain residents' access.
Grants and Barrys Bridges at South Arm were also damaged.
Emergency Services and council crews are currently checking all roads twice daily for ongoing potential tree debris.
Structural inspections of the bridges will begin as soon as safety permits.
Council initiatives to assist residents include:
Free Potable Water
A water standpipe has been made available for residents to access free potable water. There is a 40mm flexible hose connection provided in Kelly Cl, Macksville, adjacent to council's Works Depot which can be accessed by residents 24/7 for the purposes of obtaining water.
Council has also waived water charges for commercial water carters so they can continue to use other standpipes without blocking this free standpipe.
Free Waste Disposal
Residents of fire affected properties can take fire related waste materials to council's landfill on Old Coast Rd at Nambucca Heads and deposit them free of charge.
Rate Payments
For those ratepayers paying by instalment, the next rates instalment is due November 30. For owners of fire affected properties who are unable to pay their rates instalment by this date, contact council's rates section on 6568-2555. Interest free payment arrangements can be provided to those in need. Don't be embarrassed to ask.
Disposal of Dead Stock
In association with Local Land Services, council works crews will be available to assist residents of fire affected properties dispose of dead stock. Arrangements for this service need to be made through Local Land Services.
Pet Welfare
Council's pound attendant has secured a large supply of cages for birds and dogs as well as domestic pet products which can be made available to affected residents as required. Removal of unsafe trees in road reservations
Council work crews are continuing to remove unsafe trees from road reservations. If you are concerned about the safety of any trees in or near council's roads call council on 6568-2555.
