It is believed the man - a local to the area - was driving through thick smoke on Friday evening when the accident happened.
His body was discovered in his car at around 9.30am yesterday by local road crews who were clearing fallen trees.
The area he was found in was not affected by fire.
In a separate accident, a 42-year-old man was engulfed by a fireball while riding a trail bike through the severe fire conditions on Friday evening.
He managed to drag himself inside the nearest solid structure.
The barely conscious man was discovered by his neighbours inside their house on Williams Hill Rd yesterday morning at around 7am.
Emergency services crews were able to get to the man by 4WD and by foot, and he was then airlifted to Concord Hospital in Sydney.
He has serious burns to over 30 per cent of his body.
Advice from Emergency Services ahead of Tuesday
Emergency services personnel are urging people not to move in fire-affected areas as conditions can change quickly and dramatically.
Residents are being asked to monitor the RFS Fires Near Me website or app as Tuesday is forecast to be extremely high fire danger.
Those people in remote areas - particularly on hills or gullies - should ensure they activate their Bushfire Survival Plans early and listen to advice given by RFS.
Those within townships should also consider preparing their homes for potential ember attacks, with embers known to travel upwards of a kilometre in high winds.
