Four hundred kids radiated pure joy at the Hennessey Tape Oval for this year's Bowraville Memorial Cup.
"You don't get to do this every day," Sam said.
He was thrilled at the chance to spend a day meeting other kids from the Valley, playing touch footy and patting snakes.
For Owen, the best part of the day was the virtual reality goggles where he got to explore under the sea.
One girl liked being able to paint her own boomerang in her favourite colours.
While for another group of kids we spoke with today, their favourite thing was getting a brand new jersey to call their own.
The signature jerseys - featuring a tribute to Colleen Walker, Clinton Speedy-Duroux, and Evelyn Greenup - are a hot commodity and get worn with pride well after the event wraps up each year.
Enjoy the gallery from today's event. Tomorrow, 400 high schoolers from Kempsey to Orara will descend on the Valley for their turn.
