Australia's leading futurist Steve Sammartino is one expert who cites digital infrastructure as a key factor of benefit for regional areas over the next few decades. Along with e-commerce, lower living costs and higher living standards, Sammartino predicts that these factors will create a renaissance for non-city dwellers.
Sammartino will be discussing these predictions and that geography is no longer the barrier it used to be at Ignite Mid North Coast Symposium, 2019. The event will delve into how the Mid North Coast can benefit from changes fuelled by technology and progressive thinking.
This year's event will be held in the beautiful Macleay Valley, at the Slim Dusty Centre on November 6 and the full day program promises a stellar speaker line-up, along with exhibitions to get business, community and students buzzing with concepts of our future world.
Other presenters for this year's event include Scotty Schindler, Peter Auhl, Kim Houghton and Zoe Eather.
The symposium launched in 2017 at Bowraville where Todd Sampson delivered an inspirational keynote presentation on the advantages of collaboration. 2018 saw Bellingen come alive with community and businesses of all sizes taking up the opportunity to engage, discover and network.
Ignite MNC 2019 is organised by Regional Development Australia Mid North Coast in partnership with key sponsors Kempsey Shire Council and the NSW Government STEM Industry School Partnerships (SISP) Program along with Optus and 6 Degrees.
Mid North Coast business owners are also invited to showcase their business via the online conference show bag.
There is no fee to do this, all you need to do is create a special offer for the audience (eg a discount) and email it along with the best contact details for the business to ignitemnc@rdamnc.org.au.
