The community will come together in a special repatriation ceremony to mark the return of the 750-year-old remains to their rightful resting place.
Construction of a memorial garden at the site started in late July after the State Government purchased the land to preserve its Aboriginal cultural heritage.
Uncle Roger Jarrett has been overseeing the preparation of the land and said he was looking forward to this day when he spoke to Guardian News in August.
"Having a place like this is important to open up the land for everyone. This used to be a place of meeting and celebration - a happy place," he said.
"We're trying to get it back to being a happy place for white and black."
On Monday, after the reinterment, a two-metre-tall rock slab with an Aboriginal face carved into it will be placed where the ancient bones of the teenage man were discovered.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony from 10.45am this Friday at 21 Riverside Drive, Nambucca Heads, and to stay after to enjoy a barbecue together.
