With help from a family contact, on Monday (14th), two nanny goats with their four kids arrived from their dry and dusty Armidale farm, ready for their new life on the coast. They will live at Macksville Adventist School for all of term four.
Not only does this help the farmer, but the students at Macksville Adventist School are looking forward to feeding, milking, tethering and loving their new friends. We are also going to be making goat soap and goat cheese as a project-based learning activity.
This Sunday, October 20, Macksville Adventist School is holding it's annual Open Day and Fair from 10am-2pm and we will have a naming competition for the four goat kids. So come along and meet our goats.
