Today, Monday, sees temperatures heading into the 30s around the shire - with a top of 36 degrees for Bowraville, 34 degrees for Macksville and Nambucca Heads a relatively 'cool' 30 degrees.
NSW Rural Fire Service has declared a statewide total fire ban today ahead of forecast hot, windy conditions.
And a reminder, that during a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open or carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.
Penalties are heavy - lighting a fire attracts an on the spot fine of $2200. If the matter goes to court, you could be subject to a fine of up to $5500 and/or 12 months gaol.
There will be some relief tomorrow and Wednesday, when temperatures drop back to the low 20s but then prepare to shiver as the weekend approaches, with forecast temperatures of 19 degrees on Thursday and Friday with possible showers, developing into a cool rainy day on Saturday and 18 degrees throughout the shire.
