It's been nothing but net for Nambucca High's Under 15s b-ballers who are this year's reigning kings of the court for the Lower North Coast.

A recent slam dunk against Orara down in Port Macquarie caps off an incredible undefeated Combined High Schools season so far.
This is officially the best result the school has ever achieved in basketball. It's no fluke either; the boys have won every game they've played by at least 30 points.
They are now firmly placed in the top 16 schools in the state for the sport, and will head down to Sydney on Tuesday to go head to head with a much bigger, meaner Macquarie Fields High team.
They've already scoped out their competition, but the Nambucca ballers are taking the intel in their stride; some of the players in the Western Sydney side are absolute bohemoths, while a few of our boys are lucky to be pushing five foot.
"What we lose in size we make up for in speed and skill," they said. "And we know each others' abilities - we trust each other."
The bulk of the Nambucca Heads Under 15s basketball team have been playing together now for three years.
They train twice daily, and in every spare minute at school. Many also double up and play in the Opens team too. And quite a few head off to the weekly competition at Macksville High.
"We've got a lot of talent, but the boys all put in the work too," coach Matt Rumsey said. "Without me having to do anything, they're always first here on the court, and turn up on game day."
The basketball program was started by Duke Lee a few years back, and then Matt picked up the ball and started dribbling with it four years ago.
"We give the kids the time of day, and they're just flourishing," he said.
He said the team has now outgrown the North Coast and is itching to see what Sydney has to offer.
I honestly think we've got a real shot when they go down there. We're not just some country school that's gonna be beat by 50 points and be sent packing. They've put the work in and I believe they'll do well.

The team's success has already been turning heads; Reece Plumbing Coffs Harbour has approached them and offered to fund the boys' travel and accommodation expenses.
"For some of these kids, it'll be their first time in a big city. It's just massive for them to have sport as an avenue to travel down to Sydney. They've definitely earned it, and it's really nice to be sponsored to do it," Matt said.
They arrive on Tuesday afternoon and will do a little sightseeing before the big match on Wednesday morning.
"They're just such great kids that it's going to be a really enjoyable trip regardless if they win or lose," Matt said.
Best swishes from us for Wednesday, fellas!
